I offer adolescent girls a space of their own, where they can be honest without managing anyone else’s reaction. Adolescence asks a great deal of girls at once — shifting friendships, academic pressure, and a constant sense of being watched and measured. Working at each girl’s pace, I help her put words to what she is feeling and trust her own judgment as we navigate challenges such as:
The honesty adolescent girls bring to this work inspires me. Helping a young woman find her voice early, before she learns to quiet it, is some of the most hopeful work I do.
